Although she received her bachelors in education, Coach Carmen spent the majority of her career in corporate sales. Financially fulfilled but spiritually empty and void from purpose Coach Carmen began to REDISCOVER herself as she RECREATED the vision and mission for herself that has completely REDESIGNED her life. She has returned to her educational roots at The Ginn Academy where she serves the students as both an educator and self proclaimed life coach. She also serves as a run coach with the national nonprofit organization Girls On The Run (G.O.T.R.) in various schools throughout the city. The passion to coach and develop youth led Coach Carmem to create and found the nonprofit organization Young Diamonds and Pearls Incorporated. Her efforts both enhance the development of youth and help to resolve the issue of violence in our underserved communities. The focus of Carmen’s coaching is to inspire, motivate and encourage others who have experienced trauma or stagnation to live the best version of themselves from the inside out!
